Marketing Campaigns

I’ve written and designed dozens of marketing campaigns for corporate and non-profit organizations. I can take a concept from soup to nuts, from printing sponsorship pitches to writing social media captions, and from designing swag to presenting wrap-up reports. I love every phase of realizing an engaging community experience.

Here are two of my recent campaign favorites from a non-profit client, Heart of Ellsworth:

Downeast Cider + Cheese Festival

The Downeast Cider + Cheese Festival is a delicious fundraising event where guests gather to taste the tradition of Maine’s cider- and cheese-making heritage. In 2023, I developed a slogan, logo, sponsorship deck, and a multitude of digital marketing assets that we reused and built upon in 2024. I wrote and designed print ads, posters, tickets, products, social media posts, and managed the event’s website and ticket sales.

This client and campaign involved tools like Squarespace, Canva, Meta Business Suite, Facebook and Instagram Ads, MailChimp, and Google Drive that I used to take the event campaign from concept to completion.

For each of the 2 years I worked with Heart of Ellsworth to bring this event to life, I took notes in event committee meetings, crafted outreach emails to vendors and volunteers, and supported the weekend of events on-site by greeting and guiding attendees, soliciting donations, taking photos for social media, and thanking the hundreds of folks who came to enjoy a taste of Downeast Maine’s cider and cheese traditions.

Services

Each of these campaigns included the following services in addition to coordinating with stakeholders, audiences, and publics.

Campaign Strategy

I design mission-aligned campaign strategies that balance creativity and data, guiding projects from concept to completion with clear timelines, community resonance, and measurable outcomes.

Copywriting

Whether writing for web, email, social, or print, I craft clear, on-brand copy that informs, inspires, and converts—always with an ear for tone and an eye for purpose.

Graphic Design

I create cohesive visuals in Canva and Adobe that reinforce brand identity and enhance message clarity, supporting campaigns from early mockups to final deliverables.

Website management

With experience in WordPress, Squarespace, AEM, and custom CMS, I update and maintain websites that stay user-friendly, visually consistent, and optimized for both accessibility and SEO. I can also help manage revenue-driving online merchandise and ticket sales.

Photography & Videography

From event recaps to short-form storytelling, I shoot and edit content that captures authentic moments and turns them into compelling visual narratives.

Analysis & Reporting

I translate performance data into actionable insight, delivering post-campaign reporting that’s not just about numbers—it’s about what they mean and what comes next.

Meet the Candidates

Meet the Candidates is a non-partisan annual event where candidates for Ellsworth City Council are invited to share their platform and answer voter questions. In 2023, I had the pleasure of not only producing the event’s campaign materials (writing and designing all the ads, posters, social media and web graphics) but also welcoming candidates, sponsors, and citizens to the live event. In 2024, I remotely supported in updating and maintaining the campaign.

For this campaign, I used Google’s Suite of products, Squarespace, Canva, and old fashioned sweat to spread the word up and down Ellsworth’s Maine Street and greater community to get the word out and encourage virtual and in-person attendance at this community cornerstone event.

I firmly believe in the importance of civic engagement and helping voters register and make informed decisions at the polls. The Meet the Candidates event allowed me to support a mission close to my core value and purpose of helping my community live up to America’s democratic ideals.

Client Testimonial

Rachel is extremely creative, detailed, and so good at project management. I appreciated her being able to tackle a lot without a ton of guidance. She was knowledgeable, quick on her feet, professional, and creative. I'm glad I got to work with her!
